Frequently asked questions.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking more clarity in life, therapy can help. You don’t need to have a “big” problem — just a desire to grow, heal, or understand yourself more deeply.
How do I start?
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and that’s completely normal. You’re welcome to reach out with any questions via email or schedule a free 20minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. From there, we’ll explore what’s bringing you in and what you hope to gain from therapy.
What happens in session one?
The first session is a gentle introduction. My sessions are 55 minutes. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s been challenging, and any questions you have. It’s a space for you to share at your own pace — no pressure, just curiosity and care..
What is your training?
I have a Master's in Clinical Counseling from Saint Mary's University and am licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota from the Board of Behavioral Health. LPCC License # 1719. I am certified in Brainspotting Therapy. I believe therapy should be grounded in both compassion and expertise. Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced training in trauma healing, relational therapy, behavioral therapy, and mind-body approaches to support the unique needs of the adults and couples I work with.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients receive partial reimbursement through their insurance’s out-of-network benefits. I can provide a monthly superbill to support this process. I believe that therapy should be available to all who need it. I offer sliding scale rates for those who qualify for reduced rates.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
